The Graduate Student Winter Israel Fellowship Program is a unique opportunity to study and travel throughout Israel to gain firsthand insight into this dynamic environment.Overview
The New England Institute of Jewish Studies (NEIJS) Graduate Student Israel Center is offering an outstanding three-week winter program to enable US Jewish graduate students studying in any graduate field (i.e., law, business, applied sciences, etc.) to:
• Study compelling contemporary issues in Jewish thought and Jewish ethics.
• Explore Israel's critical ethical challenges featuring VIP seminars at leading Israeli corporations, government and research institutions.
• Enjoy exciting tours and hikes throughout Israel.
The New England Institute of Jewish Studies, in coordination with the National Graduate Student Network, is sponsoring a three week winter program, combining the study of Jewish thought, Jewish ethics, Israel's ethical challenges and tours of Israel. The purpose of the program is to enable Jewish graduate students from throughout the US to explore Jewish thought, Jewish approaches to challenging issues confronting society and the State of Israel. Compelling seminars on Jewish thought address contemporary issues facing the Jewish people. The program features many tours and hikes in Israel.
The faculty features distinguished professors, judges, scientists, lawyers, executives, ethicists, and Jewish scholars from the U.S. and Israel. On-site seminars provide first-hand insight into the Israeli legal, business and scientific environment including the Knesset, Supreme Court, hi-tech, biotechnology, and multinational companies. NEIJS programs incorporate the case-study method and qualify for elective credit.
Students from over sixty graduate schools have participated in programs run by the NEIJS Graduate Student Israel Center over the past nine years.

The Israel Scholars Fellowship and Program Cost
The Israel Scholars Fellowship is a philanthropic Jewish communal fund of the New England Institute of Jewish Studies (NEIJS) that is awarded to deserving Jewish graduate students to participate in the Graduate Student Winter Israel Fellowship Program. Tuition, lodging, tours, airfare and meals for the program costs $3,300. The Israel Scholars Fellowship will award $2,800 of the program fee to qualified applicants towards payment of the program. The program fee for recipients of the Israel Scholars Fellowship is $500.
